What you called "sand" is it really sand? because you just mix soil with normal water. It will be different if you add hot water or with other solution that can break the organic bended with soil particle.
@@suhardisuhardi8388 umm... Possibly... You mean that it (the "sand") might actually be smaller particles that are simply bonded together tightly that appear like sand? If this is the case, for a more scientific approach to soil analysis, your insight is 100% valid however, for someone simply looking to improve their soil quality at home, I'm not sure it would matter a great deal, as this type of material will still act like sand, and therefore, should be treated as such... I think so because no watering or rain will be able to break down these specific materials as well... At least, I don't think so. It's a good insight you've presented though... I really appreciate your point of view here, because it shows us all that there is more to think about and learn, so, thank you!!!
Great job the zip ties can’t be beat
@@paulhogan2389 hahaha... Love it.
@7:13 to 7:22, but especially at 7:13 thanks soooo much for showing the details of what you did there. I have subscribed. Even the part where you used the drill, much respect for showing that part as well.
No problems. Thanks for the shoutout. Regarding the drill... this step isn't needed if you use a stitching chisel with larger tines. Mine isn't big enough to easily pass the leather needle through. A lesson I had to learn the hard way regarding buying quality tools. Good luck with your own projects! Thanks again for commenting.
@UrbanSelfSufficiency Hey :), you're welcome. The drill was a big deal for me, because I started working with Real and Faux leather a few months ago, and I've been wanting to work with a heavier leather like yours in your video, but I can't afford the leather sewing machine right now. I already have a drill with lots of bits so ive envisioned that i could pull it off. I can't remember the ounce, but I use a softer Genuine leather for my crafting, and the machine I use is, Brother LB7950, and I'm able to use leather needles with it. I had to slow down your video at 0.5 speed and watch it over and over and over again, and I was like 🤔 woah....okay! It's the "little tricks of the trade", that few people will show you or ya learn after some time of experience. And that may take some years. So, I Really Appreciate you man, and the educational content you post. Much Respect.
Dude, for the money you spent on material you can get a real potato peeler machine! And you don't have to spend time and effort on building a hack that breaks after a couple of tries. Also, the peels are going to get stuck under the graters. How will you clean it afterwards?
@@CT2507 this was 6 years ago... Forgot I even made it 😂
Where is the ball and why you don't need it ?
hi! planning to work on a camera half case with similar thickness leather. do you know what size chisel and thread you used for this project? cheers
Nope
Aw
Please l need notes
Open Google word document. Click "Tools", then click "Voice Typing". Play the video and allow the audio to be picked up by your microphone and Google will transcribe into text. Done. 😁
Delightful!!!!!!!
It would be interesting to see this setup with clear pipes to see if It is actually doing what it was designed to do. I have a suspicion that when the ball floats up it can divert the rest of the debris into the tank. Even if that were the case, it seems that it is still catching more than if the first flush system wasn't there.
Clear pipes would've made the video a lot better! Wish I'd thought of that :)
Beautiful!
Thank you
Your bilting making process is an abomination. That’s NOT how you make biltong.
Bullshit video
3rd class stuff. Doesn't serve any purpose. No one is interested in your wind
Howdy from south Texas USA😁🍺 Thanks for the videos!
Love your videos! Thx Heaps! An idea for tank water measurement > pop a 1/2 filled 1L plastic soda bottle into the tank, attached to a (nylon) string as long as the height of the full capacity of the tank. Attach The other end of the string to a 1/4 filled soda bottle (or a nut). Hang the lighter bottle/nut outside the tank. Stick your marker stick on the outside of the tank. As the nut goes up/down you can see the water level without having to climb!
omg... that is genius!
Tank uuuuuu
Thanks so much!
Amazing Video! I just tried this but it did not go well... it seems like it's all silt. I can't see any sand or clay, do you think my dirt could be all that?
I'm unsure. Perhaps leave it to settle for 24 hours and see if things change.
@@UrbanSelfSufficiency Thanks for the reply! Sadly, I left it for more than that to see if it needed more time, and it didn't work. I also tried to reshake it, but still nothing. I just think that my soil samples just had a lot of mud making it hard to see the others. Thank you for the reply!

caulk gun, not a grease gun
First one I've seen with a knife guide. Cool idea and looks good. I might try that with removable hardwood dowels.
Use a hose clamp adjustment just bigger to slide off but tight enough to hold mold together also use it with the slot down it works for the same thing using four slots fyi
Awesome thanks ❤
All these videos using marker on glass. Just put a strip of tape on it, then you won't have to remove the marker afterwards. (Mark on the tape or use the tape as teh marker)
Good tip. Thank you 😊
Have you tried mixing leafs in there
No. I wonder if that would make them smoke up more? Would certainly help them burn.
Smart
I’m curious how you’ve improved on your process since you made this video. I’m not one to criticize your process, but I’m sure you’ve figured out some improvements by now. Greetings from a South African biltong maker in South Louisiana.
hello please tell me with this loadshedding will it effect the biltong
Wow very good. Thank you very much.
Such a beautiful gift well done guys I love this.
Really useful tip. Worked well
Could you do this with sawdust?
Great video! Quick question. I had a hybrid cauliflower variety. I left some to flower in order to get some seeds for the next season but they didnt even flower like yours did. Broccoli didnt flower either. I got no seeds. Can it be because it was a hybrid variety or i did smth wrong? Thanks
Several factors could prevent a hybrid cauliflower plant from bolting to seed, despite hybrids typically being bred for high yield and bolt resistance. Here are some possibilities: Environmental factors: Insufficient sunlight: Cauliflower needs at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight per day to thrive. Shading by other plants, structures, or cloudy weather can reduce photosynthesis and delay head formation, preventing bolting. Inconsistent temperatures: Ideal temperatures for cauliflower growth are between 15-21°C (59-70°F). Fluctuations outside this range, especially prolonged periods of heat or cold stress, can disrupt growth and flowering. Nutrient deficiencies: Insufficient nitrogen, phosphorus, or calcium can limit head development and delay bolting. Ensuring balanced fertilization with organic matter or appropriate fertilizers is crucial. Excess water: Overwatering can stress the plant and lead to rot, hindering its ability to form a head and eventually flower. Pest or disease damage: Damage from pests like aphids or cabbage worms, or diseases like fungal infections, can weaken the plant and divert its energy away from reproduction. Planting and care factors: Incorrect planting time: Planting cauliflower too early or too late in the season can expose it to unsuitable temperatures and prevent proper development. Different hybrids might also have specific timing requirements. Improper spacing: Plants planted too close together can compete for resources like light and nutrients, stunting growth and delaying bolting. Insufficient head removal: Harvesting the cauliflower head too early or leaving the stem intact can stimulate the plant to produce new heads or suckers, delaying flowering. Hybrid-specific factors: Genetic variation: Even within hybrid varieties, some individual plants may have a slightly higher or lower tendency to bolt due to natural variations in their genetic makeup. Outdated hybrid strain: Older hybrid varieties might have lower bolt resistance compared to newer ones bred for improved performance. Troubleshooting: If your hybrid cauliflower plant isn't bolting, here are some steps you can take: Assess your environmental conditions: Ensure your plant receives adequate sunlight, consistent temperatures, and proper watering. Check for nutrient deficiencies: Test the soil and amend it if necessary with organic matter or balanced fertilizers. Examine for pests or diseases: Look for signs of damage and treat any infestations promptly. Evaluate planting and care practices: Adjust spacing, harvest timing, and head removal techniques if needed. Consider the hybrid: Research the specific requirements and bolting tendency of your hybrid variety. By addressing potential issues and providing optimal conditions, you can encourage your hybrid cauliflower plant to develop a healthy head and eventually bolt to seed, even if it takes slightly longer than expected.

Little things like this are what need to be taught on UA-cam, you see lots of people showing off their systems and letting you watch them dig and place cinder blocks, but it’s the ideas and theory that people need to learn for building their own systems.
